Additional charges usually occur when the skip is filled past the ‘level load’ line, or it exceeds the skip’s capacity for volume or weight.
If the skip is unable to be placed or collected or if restricted waste streams are discovered in the skip. If you are mindful of the restrictions around skip hire, as well as the terms and conditions of your own skip hire, then there should be no additional charges incurred.
Additional charges may be applicable when it comes to parking suspensions or skip permits but these should be discussed and agreed upon at the moment of ordering.
As a Clearabee customer, you can cancel your order or amend your delivery date as long as the skip is not already in the process of being delivered. A wasted journey fee will apply if the skip is already out for delivery. If you have filled the skip but still have more waste to clear, you can always supplement the skip hire with our rapid-reaction ‘Man and Van’ clearance service.
The below waste streams are prohibited from being thrown into a skip without prior arrangement with Clearabee:
Large WEEE items and white goods
Solvents, chemicals and liquids (including paint)
Hazardous waste streams such as fridges, TV’s and monitors
Plasterboard/gypsum waste
Excessive amounts of construction waste
Food wastage
Skips will be delivered between the hours of 8am and 6pm. We are able to consider requests for a more specific time but these cannot always be guaranteed due to a number of variables. If you need a more precise time and have a light waste stream that needs removing, then our ‘Man and Van’ service will no doubt be a more suitable option.
If you require a more exact arrival window or have special access considerations, please contact Clearabee as we may be able to accommodate these via a bespoke quote.
You can hire a skip for as many days as you require, but the standard skip hire duration is 14 days. If you want to hire a skip for a longer period of time, you should let Clearabee know as early as possible so we can make the necessary arrangements and process the additional charges. If you don’t require your skip for the full 14 days, then you can designate an earlier day for collection when you place your order.
