We are experiencing very high call volumes and at some points during the day there may be a queue to get through to us. Please use webchat or email to help us manage this wherever possible.
Our rubbish clearance services continue to operate nationwide. Please note due to exceptional demand there are some delays with some skips deliveries and collections. For skips to go out they must come back in and this is not an exact science which does mean a small number of orders could be delayed. We will do our best to communicate this with you as soon as possible - please note however the vast majority are unaffected.
Skip bag collections are typically taking 3-5 days currently and in some locations up to 10 days.
Our 'man and van' clearance service continues to operate nationwide on a same day or next day basis.
Man & Van - operating normally Monday - Saturday incl bank holidays.
Skip hire & skip bag - mostly operating normally, some delays in delivery / collection in some parts of the country. Some skip deliveries are delayed and we do not always know until the last minute which does mean there is a risk of some service failures which we apologise for (impacting aroound 5% of orders). We can offer our same day clearance service if there is an urgent or emergency requirement and there is an issue with the skip delivery.
Our skip bags are being dispatched on a same day basis (Mon-Fri) with next day delivery and we understand there are very few interruptions.
Field teams - We are offering completely contact free collections and waste can be left in a secure space indoors or outdoors. We are now operating two person collection teams in most areas where these are required and the entire Clearabee fleet is operating normally, meaning our 'man and van' service is as fast and easy as you have to come to expect.
Clearabee office - Our office is re-open with strict social distancing in place. Many of our staff are working from home particularly in support functions.
Opening hours: We are open our regular hours of 08:00 - 18:00 (Mon - Fri) and 08:30 - 17:30 on Saturday and bank holidays.
Emergency helpdesk remains open 7 days a week supporting contracts where we operate as a COVID-19 Critical Contractor.
Current Government advice allows us to enter the home to collect waste. However we have brought in more stringent measures to protect staff and customers which does mean waste should be left outside wherever possible although we no longer require this as a condition of collection. We will not however be able to enter the home if someone is shielding indoors or is in a high risk group. If you identify to us in advance that a person is vulnerable (but not high risk) and may require additional assistance, we will do our best to accommodate this safely. In person contact should be kept to an absolute minimum and only when strictly required and if required from a distance of at least 2m in line with current guidance.
Overview of measures we have put in place:
Waste should be placed outside wherever it is possible to do so to ensure that there is no close human interaction.
Where this is not possible waste should be contained in a single room away from other people
We are not able to collect if you are exhibiting symptoms or have been exposed to the virus or are isolating due to potential exposure
Our staff are taking precautions and only attending work if they are fit to do so
Our 'man and van' collections crews are back to operating as two people where the job requires this. The necessary risk assessment is undertaken before commencing work each day and upon arrival at each job
We will not hand over tablets, mobile phones or documentation and will sign these on your behalf
Our office is re-open but with strict social distancing measures in place and checks including daily temperature monitoring, clear signage and availability of hand sanitiser across the office.
Waste from homes with possible cases of COVID-19 and waste from cleaning of areas where possible cases have been identified should be double bagged, using a strong rubbish bag. These bags should be tied and stored for at least 72 hours or they will need to be moved as Category B infectious waste in orange bags (which we cannot help with). More info here.
We would ask all customers to cooperate fully during these difficult times to ensure we can continue to operate safely.
