When selecting a skip there are several considerations which will impact what skip size and type is the most suitable, such as where you plan to place it and what you plan to put in it.

The below waste streams are prohibited from being thrown into a skip without prior arrangement with Clearabee:
WEEE items and white goods
Plasterboard/gypsum
Solvents, chemicals and liquids (such as paint and fuel)
Hazardous waste streams such as fridges, TV’s and laptops
Heavy or dense waste which exceeds the skip’s capacity
Food wastage
As a Clearabee customer, you can cancel your order or amend your delivery date as long as the skip is not already in the process of being delivered. A wasted journey fee will apply if the skip is already out for delivery. If you have filled the skip but still have more waste to clear, you can always supplement the skip hire with our rapid-reaction ‘Man and Van’ clearance service.
Additional charges can occur when the load exceeds the skip’s capacity for volume or weight or when it is filled past the ‘level load’ line.
A wasted journey charge may apply if the skip is unable to be placed or collected on time. However, if you are mindful of the terms and conditions of your skip hire, then there should be no additional charges.
Parking suspensions and skip permit should be discussed at the point of ordering so additional charges are less likely to occur.
You will require a skip permit from Reading’s local authority if you are planning to place the skip on a public road. The costs vary and are dependent upon each council but we can apply for your skip permit and include the additional cost in your order.
You will require a parking suspension in addition to a skip permit to place a skip within parking areas that are permit-only or Pay and Display.
These suspensions will require Reading Council to place a notice which suspends the parking space and this will be charged on a day-by-day basis.
