Skip hire Milton Keynes parking suspensions

Skip hire is a principle part of home improvements, construction work and office refurbs in a town such as Milton Keynes, although finding the space for a skip of any size is notoriously difficult.

Wherever you are in the town, we can help you to obtain the required parking suspensions which will allow you to place your skip in a nearby parking space.

FAQs

Milton Keynes skip hire FAQs

There are various considerations which will have an impact on what skip size and type is the most suitable, such as where you plan to place it and what you plan to put inside of it.

We have listed the main skips with our frequently asked questions section, but we can hire almost any type of skip.

If you are mindful of the T&Cs of your skip hire then any additional charges should be mitigated against. Such charges usually occur when the skip is filled past the ‘Level Load’ line, if the skip cannot be delivered or collected on schedule or if prohibited items are discovered in the skip.

Additional charges may be applicable in the case of parking suspensions or skip permits but these should be discussed and agreed upon when ordering.

Whilst skips are a flexible rubbish removal option, there are certain restrictions on what waste streams can go into each skip.

Standard garden and construction waste streams are all suitable for a skip, although be mindful of the weight of bricks, rubble and soil. Standard household items can be thrown into a skip alongside bulky and business waste.

Certain waste streams cannot be removed by a skip without prior arrangement:

White goods and large WEEE items

Hazardous waste including freezers, laptops and TV’s

Plasterboard/gypsum waste

Food waste

Solvents, chemicals and paints

Clearabee’s standard skip hire period is for 14 days but if you want to hire a skip for a longer period, you should let us know as early as possible so arrangements can be made and charges can be processed. If you require a shorter skip hire period, you can designate a day for collection when ordering.

You are going to need a parking suspension in order to place your skip in a permit-only or Pay and Display parking space. Such parking suspensions are available from your local council and are charged on a day-by-day basis which requires the council to place a notice to suspend the parking space.
