Typically, you can hire a skip for 14 days as this is how long a skip permit will last. If you need the skip for longer we are happy to accommodate this, but there may be an additional charge.
There are a few cases where additional charges may need to be made but they are very easily avoided. These includes keeping the skip for over 14 days as previously mentioned, parking suspensions, wasted delivery or collections, overfilling and putting prohibited items into the skip.
The most important thing to remember is that you need to have your skip placed somewhere that a heavy goods vehicle will be able to access. Also ensure that nothing blocks the path to the skip after it has been delivered. For example, don’t park your car in front of the skip on the collection day as we might not be able to reach it.
You don’t have to be in when we deliver or collect the skip. As long as everything has been prepaid and we can access the drop off location we won't have a problem if you're not at the premises.
