There are restrictions on what waste streams can go into each skip and which waste types can be mixed.
Generally speaking, standard household waste, bulky items and business waste can be thrown into a skip, as well as standard garden and construction waste streams.
These items cannot be thrown away in a skip without prior arrangement:

If the skip is going to be positioned on the public highway, you are going to need a skip permit. These are issued by Gosport Borough Council but the costs can vary, depending on your location. In most cases, we can apply for a skip permit on your behalf and pass on the additional cost.
If you’re planning on placing your skip in an area which has permit-only parking or if the parking space is Pay and Display, you will require a parking suspension as well as a skip permit.
Parking suspensions require the council to place a notice to suspend the parking space and are usually charged on a day-by-day basis.
