Eastbourne skip permits

When it comes to skip hire in Eastbourne, consider whether or not you will require a skip permit. Clearabee can advise on the individual requirements of your skip hire before applying for the permit as part of your order.

Eastbourne parking suspension

Finding the room for a skip is near impossible for many people in towns across East Sussex. Wherever you are situated, we can help you to obtain the parking suspensions which will allow you to store your skip in a parking space without requiring a drive or front garden.

Eastbourne skip hire FAQs

When selecting a skip there are some considerations which will impact on the size and type of skip you need, where you plan to place it and what you plan to put inside of it.

We have detailed the main skips with our frequently asked questions section, but we can hire almost any type of skip.

The 4-yard ‘Midi’ skip is the smallest skip that is widely available. If you need a larger container, we also have 6 - 8 cubic yard ‘Builders’ skips available, as well as 10 - 12 yards ‘Maxi’ skips and specialist skips.

Skips are a flexible yet robust rubbish removal solution but there are restrictions on what waste streams can go into each skip and which waste can be mixed.

Household waste, bulky items and business waste can all be thrown into a skip, alongside modest amounts of garden and construction waste.

The following items are prohibited from being thrown in a skip without prior arrangement:

Food waste

White goods and large electrical items

Hazardous waste including lighting tubes, fridges and monitors

Plasterboard/gypsum waste

Chemicals, liquids, paints and solvents

Skip permits are issued by Eastbourne Borough Council and you will need one if you are intending to place your skip on a road. We can apply for a skip permit on your behalf and include the additional cost in your order.

If you are planning to place your skip in a permit-only or Pay and Display parking space, you will require a parking suspension in addition to a skip permit. These suspensions are charged on a day-by-day basis and require the council to place a notice to suspend the parking space.
