FAQs

Stevenage skip hire FAQs

When considering skip hire, there are a few things you should think about, including which skip is best for you, where you’re going to place it and what you're going to dispose of in it.

We discuss the main skips in our dedicated FAQ section, but we can hire out almost any type of skip when required.

If you observe the terms and conditions then potential additional charges should be mitigated against. Charges such as these only usually occur when the skip is filled above the Level Load line, if delivery or collections fail or if restricted items are discovered in the skip.

Parking suspensions and skip permits involve additional charges but these should be discussed and agreed upon at the point of ordering.

Skips are delivered between 8am and 6pm. We can consider requests for a more specific time but this cannot always be guaranteed. If you need a more precise time and have a light waste stream, then our ‘Man and Van’ service may be a more suitable option for you.

If you need a more exact collection time or have special access considerations, please contact Clearabee as we may be able to accommodate these via a bespoke quote.

Our standard skip hire period is for 14 days. To hire a skip for a longer or shorter time, you should let us know ASAP so arrangements and charges can be organised.

You will likely need a parking suspension or a skip permit if you don't have the space for a skip. Clearabee can apply for these from your local council and they are usually charged on a day-by-day basis.
