When it comes to skip hire, there are several things you should take into consideration, including which skip is best for you, where you’re going to place it and what you're going to dispose of in it.
We discuss the main skips in our FAQ section, but we can hire out almost any type of skip if required.
Additional charges usually occur when the skip is filled beyond the ‘level load’ line, or if the waste exceeds the skip’s capacity for volume or weight.
Additional charges may apply if the skip is unable to be placed or collected on schedule or if restricted waste streams are discovered in the skip. If you are mindful of the restrictions around skip hire, as well as the terms and conditions of your own skip hire, then no additional charges should be incurred.
Additional charges will be applicable when it comes to parking suspensions or skip permits but these should be discussed and agreed upon at the moment of ordering.
As a Clearabee customer, you can cancel your skip size or amend your delivery date as long as the skip is not already being delivered. In this case, a wasted journey fee will apply. If you have filled the skip but still have more waste to clear, you can always supplement the skip hire with our rapid-reaction ‘Man and Van’ clearance service.
The following waste streams cannot be thrown into a skip without prior arrangement with Clearabee:
Hazardous waste streams such as florescent lighting strips, laptops and monitors
Large WEEE items and white goods
Solvents, chemicals and liquids
Plasterboard or gypsum waste
Excessive volumes of construction waste
Any food waste
Skips will be delivered between the hours of 8am and 6pm on your designated day. If you need a more precise time and have a light waste stream that requires removal, then our ‘Man and Van’ service will no doubt be a more suitable option.
If you require a more exact arrival window or have special access considerations, please contact Clearabee as we may be able to accommodate these via a bespoke quote.
You are able to hire a skip in Rugby for as many days as you require, but the standard skip hire duration is 14 days. If you want to hire a skip for longer, you should let Clearabee know when placing your order so we can make the arrangements and process the charges. If you don’t require your skip for the full 14 days, then you can designate an earlier day for collection when you place your order.
