If you're considering skip hire, there are a few things to take into account such as: which skip is the most suitable, where do you plan to place it and what do you plan to dispose of in it.
We have covered our main skips with our FAQ section, but we can hire out almost any type of skip upon request.
The ‘Midi’ skip is usually the smallest skip available at 4 cubic yards in size. Larger still are ‘Builders’ skips, which are 6 - 8 cubic yards in size, while ‘Maxi’ and extra-large skips are 10 – 12 y3.
Specialist skips include lockable skips, enclosed skips and Roll On, Roll Off containers. These are costed with a transport and tonnage rate at the point of ordering.
Our customers can amend their order as long as the skip is not already out for delivery. If you have more waste than you can safely and legally fit in your skip, you could supplement the skip hire with a ‘Man and Van’ waste clearance.
A wasted journey charge could apply if the skip cannot be placed or collected as planned.
Additional charges may be applied if the skip is filled beyond the ‘level load’ line, the waste exceeds the weight capacity or is filled with prohibited items.
Parking suspensions and skip permits can be discussed at the point of ordering so the chances of incurring additional charges are lessened.
Standard garden and construction waste streams are suitable for a skip, although you should be mindful of the weight of bricks, rubble and soil. Standard household items and bulky and business waste can all be thrown into a skip.
There are some waste streams that cannot be removed by a skip without previous agreement with Clearabee:
