Bury skip permits
Clearabee are able to provide advice on the special circumstances of your skip hire, including whether or not you’ll need a skip permit and how much you’ll need to pay.
Generally, you'll need to get a skip permit in Bury if you do not have the space on your property, meaning that your skip needs to be sited on the road.
Bury parking suspensions
The town of Bury relies on skip hire for waste containment and rubbish removal from homes, offices and construction sites. Not everyone in more built-up areas has the space for a skip though.
However, Clearabee can acquire the relevant parking suspensions on your behalf so you can use a skip even if you don’t have the space.
FAQs
Bury skip hire FAQs
When looking to hire a skip, there are a list of things you should consider, including which skip is best for you, where you’re going to place it and what you're going to dispose of in it.
We discuss the main skips in our dedicated FAQ section, but we can hire out almost any type of skip upon request.
If you observe the Ts and Cs of your skip hire, then there should be no additional charges incurred. These usually occur when the skip is overloaded, if it can’t be collected or if restricted waste streams are discovered in the skip. Parking suspensions or skip permits incur an additional cost but these should be discussed and agreed upon when ordering.
In most cases, standard household and bulky business waste can be disposed of in a skip along with modestly amounts of garden and construction waste. However, certain restrictions do exist regarding which waste streams can go into each skip and which waste types can be mixed together.
Our standard hire period is for 14 days but if you want to hire one for a longer period, you should let us know asap so arrangements can be made and charges can be processed. If you require a shorter skip hire period, then you can designate a day for collection when ordering.
If you intend to place the skip on the public highway, you will need a skip permit from Bury Council. The cost of each skip permit depends on the council involved and whether you’ll need additional lighting or signage but Clearabee can apply for your skip permit and add it to your order.
If you plan to use a Pay and Display or permit-only parking space for your skip, you will need to pay for a parking suspension. Bury Council will suspend the parking space and post a notice and this will be charged on a day-by-day basis.
