Clearabee moves into new Jewellery Quarter HQ
Read Time: 4 mins
We’re very excited to announce that we have relocated to new corporate headquarters in Birmingham’s Jewellery Quarter. We have purchased a 3,000 square foot office at Griffin House on Ludgate Hill, which is now home to 40 members of staff, including our software development, finance and customer support teams.
The new office sits in a prime position on the canal at the heart of the Jewellery Quarter and will allow us to attract talent across Birmingham. The new office underwent a fit out by Rhino Interiors, installing energy efficient lighting, a moss wall, breakout areas. We have also updated the boardroom and training room, where all of our ‘man and van’ drivers are provided with their induction and training before being given their vehicle.
We have also commissioned an original 3mx2m Paul Kenton cityscape of Birmingham with a ‘nod’ to Clearabee (a small purple truck!) and will also be installing other original art across the office over the coming months.
Since 2013 we have previously operated from offices and a depot at the Hastingwood Industrial Park in Erdington. We will retain our warehouse facility in Erdington to accommodate our expanding skip bag operations.
We are the UK’s largest on-demand rubbish removal service operating entirely through own in-house team. We currently employs 180 people and operates a fleet of 80 waste removal trucks across the United Kingdom, providing same day and next day waste removal services to thousands of commercial and domestic customers nationwide each month.
In April 2018 the Financial Times named us as the 17th fastest growing company in the United Kingdom and the fourth fastest growing firm based outside of London, recognising sales growth of 1,578 percent and the creation of 119 new jobs between 2013 and 2016.
Daniel Long, founder and managing director at Clearabee, comments: “The Jewellery Quarter is synonymous with Birmingham’s industrial past and we are delighted to make it the home for our smart, industrious future. This move reflects how far we’ve come since 2012. Our new headquarters provides the space we need to grow and an attractive, modern working environment for our people.”
