Parking suspension in Woking
Skips are an essential part of home improvements projects and office renovations in a town such as Woking.
Wherever you are in the town, we can obtain the required parking suspensions if you’re finding it difficult to find the space for a skip on your property, giving you the option to use a skip without your own drive, allocated parking space or front garden.
FAQs
Woking skip hire FAQs
When selecting a skip, there are things you need to think about including which is the most suitable, where you plan to place it and what you plan to dispose of in it.
We have discussed our main skips with our FAQ section, but we can hire out almost any type of skip upon request.
If you adhere to the restrictions and terms and conditions of skip hire, then it’s unlikely that any additional charges will be incurred. These usually occur when a level load is exceeded, if it can’t be placed or collected on schedule or if prohibited items are discovered in the skip.
Modest amounts of garden and construction waste can be thrown into a skip but you must be mindful of the weight of bricks, rubble and soil. Bulky items and business waste can also be thrown into a skip.
There are certain items that cannot be thrown into a skip without a bespoke solution:
White goods and large electrical items
Hazardous waste such as fridges, freezers, and TV’s
Plasterboard and gypsum waste
Food waste
Solvents, chemicals and paints
Our standard skip hire period is 14 days in duration. If you want to hire a skip for a longer period, arrangements can be made and additional charges can be processed but you should let us know as early as possible. If you require a shorter skip hire period, then you can designate a day for collection.
If you are planning on placing your skip in a permit-only parking or Pay and Display space, then you are going to need a parking suspension. These are usually charged on a day-by-day basis and require the council to place a notice to suspend the parking space.
